HOW TO CHOOSE A BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

Congratulations! Your precious baby is here (or almost here)! And of course you want to share the exciting and joyful news with family and friends with a beautiful and unique birth announcement. There are so many choices to make while deciding the most special way for you to announce the birth of your baby – let us help you!

Trillium Paper/Stork Grams offers many different types of birth announcements – you are able to choose from baby announcements with photos, announcements with raised print on embossed cards, announcements with letter press typeset, flat print cards, and vellum announcements with ribbon. You can also select to view announcements for girls, announcements for boys, or announcements for multiples if you haven’t quite decided what type of announcement you like and you are looking for suggestions. Creating your baby’s announcement has been made stress-free with our interactive web ordering process. Simply decide which type of announcement you prefer, then visit that web page to see our numerous designs. Once you choose the specific card you like, follow the steps through the ordering process to design your baby’s announcement just the way you like it!

You can place your order even if baby is not yet here! Many parents love the convenience of placing a preorder and making their announcement selections before the busy days of newborn baby care arrive. You can choose your card, enter as much text as you know, receive a proof of your announcement (assuming it’s not a photo card), have your return address printed and your envelopes shipped to you early. When baby comes, your envelopes are all ready to be filled with the happy news of baby’s arrival with your updated cards full of baby’s own unique information. Once baby is here you or a friend or relative contacts us via phone or email with baby’s birth information and your baby announcements are on their way to you, often within a day or two! (And no worries, if he turns out to be a she, or any other changes need to be made, your card selection and/or information can be modified – that’s the beauty of a preorder!)

Whether it is the actual order or a preorder, after you have chosen your favorite baby announcement you will be asked to enter your custom text (visit wording ideas for suggestions) and choose a font color and typestyle. Once your wording has been entered, right away you will be able to see a preview of your card to give you an idea of what it will look like. Think you might like to see another font? No problem! Simply change the typestyle selection on the order and click on “Update Preview Image”. Your preview will change automatically to reflect your changes!

The website will then step you easily through the rest of your choices – how many baby announcements you need, whether or not you’d like to see a proof once a designer has set up your card, and whether you’d like to add an envelope liner, return addressing, and coordinating self-adhesive return address labels.

Then it’s off to billing and shipping information, and you are done!
